Hello & Welcome to my Blog!

I am Karla Kamstra.  I am a wife, mother, grandmother, crazy dog lady (actually insert any animal between “crazy” and “lady), and most importantly, a spiritual seeker.

In the coming weeks, I will share more about me and my life and how my life completely changed when at the age of 50 (!!!) I was called to experience God beyond the scope of my Christian religious tradition.  This journey has led me into intense academic studies, spiritual retreats and personal reflection.

At Use A Pencil, I will share my story and how, when I followed the spirit away from my tradition, I indeed have experienced an inner peace beyond measure and a deeper understanding of God and the Divine presence throughout the world.
